Melanie + Wayne…..Married !

Its the 3rd March its been raining for days and like a bit of divine intervention it finally looks like the rain will stay away for Melanie & Wayne. The drive to Gympie for the wedding was clear, no roads were flooded and everyones fingers were crossed. Sadly 30 min before the ceremony it started again but then eased to almost nothing while Melanie & Wayne exchanged vows in an outside service at Gunable Homstead. No sooner was the ceremony done we heard the call “here comes the rain again”. Between showers we managed some beautiful shots outside but the inside shots using lights and candles are a standout, it was so much fun to be able to get really creative and see what we could produce. Congratulations Melanie & Wayne, thank you for being such wonderful people and allowing me to share in your day…..Congratulations !

Danielle + Drew…..Married !

After days of rain i crossed my fingers for Danielle & Drew’s wedding on the 1st March 2013 and amazingly the sun came out but sadly it was all at the wrong time. St Augustines Church was the back drop for this beautiful wedding and after the vows tha rain came down keeping the entire congregation inside for a very cosy group photo and some fun family photos. We stayed on in the church for some images of the newlyweds and bridal party before heading to Watt Bar in Newfarm stopping along the way for a little play in the rain. This was a great fun yet challenging wedding given the weather, thank god for video lights ! Congratulations Danielle & Drew, i hope you had a fantastic day.

Ros + Wayne…..Married !

Although it rained almost all weekend Ros & Wayne were lucky enough to get a 1 hour window of no rain on their wedding day, so we used it and went crazy. Due to the rain Ros & Wayne were forced to have their ceremony indoors at the Maroochydore Surf Club where Kerri and her staff at short notice made it beautiful and run like clockwork. Celena Ross added her very own personal flair to the ceremony then after some family photos the rain stopped and we headed to Wirreanda Park in Buderim in the super stretch Hummer until the rain again forced us indoors and back to the surf club for the reception, but not before using the really cool blue wall at the club for some last minute photos. Congratulations Ros & Wayne I hope you both had a fantastic day. Finally big thank you to my wonderful assistant Hayley.

Felicia + Stacy…..Married !

Welcome to Felicia & Stacy beautiful wedding day. Iwas really excited about this wedding for reasons im really not sure about, i just had a feeling that this wedding was going to be something very special. Felicia & Stacy had their ceremony at the stunning Yandina Station and we stayed on site for their photos. I want to say a big thank you to Felicia & Stacy for putting with my “can we can we can we” and thanks to your bridal party for keeping me on my toes all day…..it was such great fun with you guys, i can say with total certainty that these images are my best yet so thank you both for being awesome.

Welcome to Kelly & Robbies magic day. Shooting this wedding for my dear friend Kelly (aka Mac Chicken) was an absolute privilage and so much fun. This Wedding had it all, a bucks party the night befor, a very nervous bride, our Groom shed a few tears, the couple announced a baby was coming and everyone had a brilliant day. The wedding was held at The Twin Waters Golf Club at very sort notice after Kelly & Robbie decided to announce Mac Chicked was pregnant with a baby chicken in the oven and wanted to get married befor bubs arrived. We shot off the Point Arkwright after taking a few shots on the golf club grounds with the yellow mustang for bidal party photos then headed back for a night of drinking, dancing Gangnam Style and facebook updates. Congratulations Kelly & Robbie, you both looked so in love and so happy and im soooooo happy for you both.

Thank you thank you thank you to Natalie for bringing along some really cool props for your wedding and letting me get some images ive been try for for a while now. This was a really fun wedding Nat & Mat were all smiles all day and such a wonderful couple to shoot. Their ceremony was held at Crowne Plaza In caloundra with about 80 guests then we headed to the Kings Beach Boardwalk and Happy Valley beach for the photos. It was good to see such a wonderful and excitable couple so in love and having such fun. Congratulations Nat & Mat and thank you for allowing me to share your magical day.

Alice & James…….A very special wedding. To everyone who atteneded this wedding, it was not a wedding they were attending rather an engagement party. Imagine everyones surprise when Alice & James walk in in wedding attire and spring it on everyone that they were actually married. It was a very small wedding ceremony only attened by parents of the bride and groom. I was lucky enough to be flown to the Hunter Valley to shoot this wonderful event and it was very exciting to see some long time friends get married in such style. The ceremony was held at the Family property then we ventured to Lindermans winery for the vinyard images followed by a few stops at random places i spotted on the way to a private lunch with the parents. After lunch we headed to Hope Estate where Farmer Wants a Wife is shot to grab a few images in the Barrel Room then get picked by the helicopter to head to the surprise reception and the Chelmsford Hotel. Congratulations Alice & James and thank you for sharing your day with me

Kerri + Mick……..Married !

Here it is guys, Kerri & Micks wedding of the year. Ive had Kerri booked in for a year now and ive been getting monthly updates from Tamika regarding new cool stuff to do and photo ideas……. so here they are !! Kerri & Mick were married at Solothurn Rural Resort in the chapel on 27th October. This was always a wedding that i was going overboard on, hence the camera almost smoking at the end of the day. The girls got read at Kerri’s house of love then we ventured to Aussie World for a few images on the carousel and with the VW Kombie. The VW party bus travelled up the hill to Maleny for the service, a few photos on the grounds then the muscle cars took over taking us to Kings Beach Boardwalk then on the Crowne Plaza for their Reception, much drinking and dancing. Congratulations Kerri & Mick and thank you for having me along to share your magic day..

Congratulations Lisa & Mark, i hope you had a wonderful day. This was a pretty small but personal wedding in Mooloolaba on the 26th October. The always delightful Lynette Maguire was the celebrant for Lisa & Mark whos wedding was conducted under the trees at Penny Lane Park. The sun peeking through the trees made for some really nice light and interesting images. Lisa & Mark had their Reception at See Plus Function Centre where the Friday night markets gave us some more interesting image concepts…….hmmmmm light ropes !!!!

Kirsty & Geoff were married in paradise……Mana Island – Fiji to be exact and i was very lucky to be taken along to photograph their wedding for them. After a mix up with my room by island staff i was given the honeymoon suite for my stay on the island so it only seemed fair that the girls come and get ready in the biggest most luxurious room on the island. So at 8am i had 7 roudy fun loving girls making a mess and getting stuck into the vodka cruisers. Leaving them alone to destroy the place, i golf carted it over to the boys where it was a crash course in ironing. With the boys pressed and dressed and the girls ready to roll the big blue bula bus turned up to head to the service on sunset beach with 40 guests looking on. After the service it was photos in every magic location we found. Congratulations Kirsty & Geoff it was an amazing day, i hope you had a great time and thanks for letting me shoot most of the day in board shorts and a t shirt……….You guys rock !

Over the last few weeks the coast has tried to dampen the spirits of many Brides & Grooms with bad weather……..but not this time !

Liz & Andrew were supposed to be married at Penny Lane Park in Mooloolaba but due to the rain on Saturday their wet option was the beautiful See Plus Function Centre set in a 20′s gangster theme with lots of feathers.

After the ceremony we were lucky enough to get 20 minutes of photos in mooloolaba with no rain, then it poured so we used the stunning resorts and shops on the mooloolaba strip to get more stunning images.

Congratulations Liz & Andrew, i hope you had a fantastic day despite the rain.

Thank you Jessie & Clinton for letting us be a huge part in your wedding day, it was definately the highlight wedding of 2012 for me. This was a wedding that had it all, blokey blokes, crazy girls, a fun loving bride & groom, great weather and last but not least high emotions. Throughout the day not only did we take way to many photos to count but i witnessed 2 people very much in love and saw so many different emotions in them.
